Arizona has thrown a small wrench into the works of Democrats’ “Plan B”, or fallback option.  In the face of mounting hostility to its programs and awareness of the flawed underlying political philosophy by an increasingly angry and activated voting public, it appears that only a massive version of “Ballot Box 13” can turn the trick and pull the Democrat chestnuts out of the inferno.  The current edition of the tried-and-true method would depend on illegal aliens voting by means of “amnesty”.  This is the reason for the hysterical race baiting on the Left in reaction to the people of Arizona acting in their own defense.

America's national security and America's economic security are tied directly to America's energy security. Yet the Obama administration seems determined to use every tool at its disposal to unilaterally disarm the exploration and recovery of our own natural resources while dictators and communist regimes happily enable our dependency on foreign energy.

All of these intrusions on states' rights are aimed right at fossil fuels and the energy economy and are driven by political ideology rather than economic and scientific reality.

Bacchus has a vision, and like all radical environmentalists with a vision, he is prepared to force "trade rules" on the entire world to bring the vision to fruition. And also like radical environmentalists, he argues from the fundamentally flawed assumption that "climate change" is human-caused and that humans can do something to stop the climate from changing. The "transfer and dissemination of new technologies" is code for what all global wealth redistributionists envision: forcible handover of technology from wealthy countries to poor countries.

Sure, as Bacchus claims, "Trade can indeed be green--if we use the tools of our rule-based trading system wisely." Wonder who will make the rules.

The majority of Arizona’s schoolchildren are already Hispanic. So, even if you sealed the border today, the state’s future is as an Hispanic society: That’s a given. Maybe it’ll all work out swell. The citizenry never voted for it, but they got it anyway. Because all the smart guys in the limos bemoaning the bigots knew what was best for them.  

What we need is an accountable, diverse, market-driven system available to children and to adults of all ages so that we are motivated to learn and to keep learning all our life.  What is the best hope for Social Security entitlement stability?  Create a system in which those near retirement can learn to do a job that they love, which allows them to contribute rather than consume, and which keeps them active and healthy.  The best hope for our kids is to allow them to fall in love with learning.  If we re-think, and truly re-form education, many social problems will melt away and the future of all Americans will be much brighter.

When Western man stopped believing in God, he needed an alternative jurisprudence to the Natural Law. The first and greatest challenge to the Natural Law was positivism. The basic tenet of positivism is that the law is whatever the sovereign or government says it is. This jurisprudence makes no distinction based on an objective standard between laws that are just and unjust, good and bad.

All questions about the jurisprudence of the Supreme Court boil down to one: Should one honestly construe words in the knowledge that eventually one will face the judgment of God, or should one construe words to achieve whatever one imagines is a good result because might makes right?
